Ajith's film with director Gautham Vasudev Menon was recently in the news after it was reported that a few members of the film's unit had been arrested for shooting without the necessary permission. However, sources close to the unit say that such reports are untrue.
The incident in question is supposed to have happened when the crew was shooting at Pallavakkam in the night. The residents of the area reportedly called in the cops, citing public disturbance. The cops, it is said, took action after the crew failed to produce the necessary documents granting them permission to shoot in the vicinity.
A source close to the unit says, "The crew has been shooting there for the last 20 days without any problem and with the necessary permission. No arrests have been made. The shooting of the film is progressing at a brisk pace and all is well with the crew too."
