Arrambam Tamil Movie Review
Fro'm the start to the end, Aarambam is an out-and-out Ajith film - a perfect Diwali gift for Thala's fans across the world. The gripping first-half breezes past, but the second half slips into familiar Tamil cinema terrain and is not as racy as one expects it to be. Aarambam is far from perfect, but it works mostly because of Ajith's mannerisms though it doesn't come anywhere near Mankatha or Billa. If you are in mood to watch a Tamil film this Diwali, you can try it out. Strictly a one-time watch.Visit Site for more

Arrambam is a very familiar tale of corruption, betrayal and revenge, served up with a dash of style. Vishnuvardhan has taken a leaf out of a real-life incident (the bullet-proof vest scam) and with the help of his co-writers SuBa, has spun an action thriller that, for the most parts, keeps moving at a fast clip. There is a sense of urgency in the visuals even when the events on screen are less interesting, and the cinematographer, Om Prakash, keeps the frames stylish, at times, just for the sake of it. But the overlong climax is a downer. It should have been a tense Mexican standoff but what we get is a rather amateurish shootout that is extended with a redundant coda.Visit Site for more

Aarambam is a stylish and fast-paced action thriller set in the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai serial bomb blasts, that is unfortunately let down by its uninspired and mediocre storyline. The first half of the film is dangerously fast, loaded with action and excitement, and keeps you guessing. Unfortunately, the director loses his zeal and enthusiasm at this point. The film degenerates into an ordinary revenge drama, with the mandatory corrupt politician, crooked police officer and cliché-ridden flashback. Director Vishnuvardhan’s Aarambam is an action-packed film that will delight Ajith’s fans.Visit Site for more

Being a commercial movie, you have to suspend disbelief and not look for too much logic and reasoning. There are a few sudden jumps in the movie’s flow and its better not to question them too much, and just enjoy the bond type commercial offering from Ajith. Kudos to the Arrambam team for managing to live up to the Himalayan hype with an action flick which packs enough punch. Verdict: Let’s make this simple ... Arrambam has enough in it to be enjoyed this Diwali !Visit Site for more

The plot is not something out of the box, a tale of vengeance and finding justice for the lost ones, and in this case Ajith's friend Rana is the victim who loses his life in a lethal battle between the baddies. Ajith is furious when he comes to know the death of his pal is all because of the low quality bullet proof vest and he sets about to find out the who's-and -what's of it. As he sets about to seek revenge, what he encounters through the journey is a simple one liner on what this movie is all about.Ergo, a movie that Ajith fans would love to watch it all over again and if you are not an Ajith fan you would love it for the style and screenplay!Visit Site for more

First things first- Arrambam lives up to the expectations and is a satisfying thrill ride for its variety in providing no-holds barred entertainment. On the downside, the film's plot is predictable and none of the songs tuned by Yuvan Shankar Raja is hummable nor stays in your mind. But these are small nitpickings in an otherwise engaging action thriller that's well mounted, and delivers enough for your money. Arrambam is far from perfect, but as pulpy Kollywood action films go, it's very watchable and works to its strengths. It's worth a watch this Diwali; you won't be bored.Visit Site for more

Arrambam is not crisp and it is one of the drawbacks of the flick. In the second half, the story becomes predictable to some extent after the motive behind Ashok Kumar's revenge is revealed.Arrambam is a well-made action thriller. Except some minor flaws, the movie has turned out to be a wholesome entertainer for all section of audience.Visit Site for more

Crusade against corruption is what the movie is all about. Vishnuvardhan's pacy narration holds the key., The dialogues by writers Suba are apt for theme. However a l;engthy second half and too many characters mars the flow. On the whole, Arrambam is a wonderful show for Ajith fans.
