There have been lots of reports related to cast of Ajith Kumar's film with Gautham Menon. It was said that the director was looking for for a well-known senior Tamil actor for his stylish entertainer, which is presently called as 'Thala 55' by audience and media. The names of Prashanth and Aravind Swamy are doing rounds in cine circle. It is reported that Gautham Menon has approached them but nothing has been finalised yet. The director reportedly wants to cast one among them, as the role requries an actor of their stature.
Meanwhile, Arvind Swamy has taken into Twitter to clarify rumours. Without referring to any movie, he wrote, "A lot of nonsense being written, I am not playing the villain in any movie, so unless I put it up on twitter, don't believe these rumours."
Gautham Menon has also offered Arun Vijay to play one of the villains in the untitled project. However, the makers of the film are tight-lipped about the details and they will only reveal once everything gets finalised.
Gautham Menon has roped in writer Shridhar Raghavan to pen the screenplay. Anushka Shetty will be playing the female lead opposite Ajith Kumar for the firs time and the talks are on with an actress to play the second fiddle.
The director has also sorted out differences with Harris Jayaraj and approached him to compose music for his mega-budget project. The Tamil flick was supposed to take off in February but it has been postponed.
